GAPTC subscription fees - 2021/22

The GAPTC Executive Committee met on 21st October to agree the subscription fee for 2021/22.

The 2020/21 subs were 33.2 pence per electorate (this was made up of 26 pence to GAPTC and 7.20 pence to NALC).

At the NALC AGM it was agreed that the NALC contribution would increase from 7.20 pence to 7.42 pence for 2021/22 (an increase of 0.22 pence per elector).

Government responds to NALC's call for clarity over the latest funding for councils

The government has confirmed local (parish and town) councils are not included in their latest financial support package for local government, with district and unitary councils still expected to help them with funding.

Advice for parish and town councils - COVID19


As per the PM's address, gatherings of more than two people from different households will be dispersed so all council meetings should be cancelled. While it is technically not legal to hold meetings remotely or to make decisions via email, it is felt that guidance from NALC, following consultation with the government will be received soon and we will forward this as soon as we receive it.... New Section 137 amount for the 2019/20 financial year

The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government has announced that the Section 137 limit for 2019/20 financial year will be £8.12 per elector.

GAPTC subscription fees 2018/19

The Executive Committee are meeting on Thursday to agree the subscription rates for 2018/19.

Three options are being discussed, as soon as a decision has been made all GAPTC members will be informed.

2017/18 subs were 31.98 pence per electorate (this is made up of 25.25 pence to GAPTC and 6.73 pence to NALC).

NALC approved an increase from 6.73 pence to 6.86 pence for 2018/19.
