Yesterday evening at the Quedgeley Town Council full council meeting they were presented with the Local Council Award Scheme Quality Gold, which is an outstanding achievement for the sector.

Parishes will have a number of voluntary organisations within them and GRCC is offering a range of training courses for the voluntary sector. Organisations in your parish may well be able to benefit from the bursaries available – allowing them to undertake the training for just £10 +VAT. Please pass on the information to them.

Here is an update on the courses available for this year. New for 2019 is Digital Mapping training with Pear Technology which will take place on 13 February. With elections in May 2019 for the Cotswolds, Forest of Dean and Tewkesbury, new councillor training has been set up for the summer and Chairmanship Skills and planning training will be added shortly.
