External Audit challenge
Some councils have been contacting us because of some of the feedback they have received from Grant Thornton.
One recent example came from Awre Parish Council who had been criticised for not following due process in relation to the '30 days consultation period'.
The clerk challenged these comments, producing evidence to the contrary, and has received an apology and a revised report is on the way.
