Christmas Clerks' Networking

GAPTC is hosting its first networking session since 2019 at the Parish Rooms in Highnam from 10am–1pm. We kick off the day with our guest speaker, Ashley Jones from the South West Regional Organised Crime Unit, who will raise awareness of the dangers of economic crime, highlight typical case studies of previous offences and offer advice and tips, as well as signposting resources that will help. He gave a presentation to councillors at our AGM in the summer and we thought it would be invaluable for him to address clerks as well.

The whole team will be there and you will be able to meet our new recruit, Kerrin Cocks, who will tell you about her role within GAPTC and will also launch the organisation's new logo. As usual, there will be time to network with clerks from councils of a similar size and an opportunity to discuss what is the current 'hot potato' for local councils. Of course, we will finish with our usual scrummy lunch. The session costs £20 and to make a booking, use the online booking form through the website. Don't forget to tell us if you have any dietary requirements.
