NALC Chief Executive's bulletin
This week NALC wrote a joint letter with the Society of Local Councils Clerks to the sector to commend your efforts but also asking you to stop holding meetings. The new Coronavirus Act includes a measure on local authority meetings but new regulations are now needed before councils are allowed to hold meetings remotely. NALC are pressing for progress on this as a matter of urgency.

"We sent out a letter to all residents early last week with a registration form for them to fill in if they needed help with shopping, walking the dog, collecting meds etc

"We have a 16 contacts covering all 3 villages in the parish and a list of local businesses still operating and providing home delivery / collection. This has been operating for over a week now with new volunteers coming forward all the time. I'm sure other communities are as 'on top of this' as us!!"
