Employment Law Update

Chris Hickey, founder and director of Charlton HR, will be the course leader for this bite-sized session for managers to brief on the most recent as well as forthcoming changes to employment law. We will be exploring that the changes need and what steps you are recommended to take to prepare.

The second part of the session will look at the key elements organisations need to ensure your practice confirms with employment law. We will also consider the proactive steps you need to be taking to avoid the risk of an employee making a claim in an employment tribunal.

Iain Garfield, Head of Commercial at BPE Solicitors, will be taking us through the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in this two-part workshop.

Part one, 'Am I doing everything I need to?', concentrates on the practical steps that organisations should take to ensure compliance, and how to ensure policies, processes and procedures remain up to date.

The second half will be an interactive team-based workshop, examining recent real-life case studies, identifying what went wrong, and considering the consequences.
