GDPR toolkit August 2018
Revised toolkit to help councils meet GDPR requirements. This toolkit provides a number of practical tools to assist councils with GDPR compliance, in the form of a GDPR Action Plan Checklist and a Data Audit questionnaire, in addition to templates for privacy notices and consent forms.

Gloucestershire Charter 6th Edition
The Charter was first established in 2006 to set in place an 'agreement' whereby different tiers of local government communicate effectively for the wider benefit of the community.
Parish and town councils are asked to sign up to this, and are invited to quarterly charter councils meeting, as well as in receipt of information.

Gloucestershire Playing Fields Association

The Gloucestershire Playing Fields Association (GPFA) is a membership-based registered charity. Founded in 1926 to protect and improve recreational land the GPFA also embodied in their aims the ideal that everyone, whatever their age, should have adequate recreational space within easy reach of their homes and be encouraged then to use these assets.
Today we offer the following services to our members:
Free advice by letter/email/telephone on most aspects of playgrounds and outdoor recreational facilities
Preference booking and reduced rates for training courses we organise (including very popular playground management seminars for councillors and clerks)
Free site visits to advise on outdoor playgrounds, playing fields and other recreational areas
Quarterly newsletter 'The Playing Field
Free assessment and report of your sport and recreation facilities
Access to grants and loan scheme
Fundraising advice for sport and recreation projects

PRACTITIONERS' GUIDE 2020/21 MAIN CHANGES
This year's Practitioners' Guide has had a make over by a professional designer and there are some small changes to paragraph numbers and an impact on pagination. The main changes from the 2019 version are:
1 A rewriting of page six of the forward to reflect requirements for parish meetings and delete the reference to trust fund declarations.
2 A new section at 1.13 on reserves policy and review
3 An addition at 1.1 5.5 that credit card balances are not acceptable reconciling items for bank reconciliation purposes
4 Clarification at 2.16 of what can be included as employment expenses and what cannot be
5 A new section at 2.39 on the certificate of exemption
6 The deletion of the second bullet point in old paragraph 5.7 7 The deletion of the old section 5.110 on the role of PSAA and a consequent division of the old paragraph 5.109 to minimise numbering problems for the rest of the document

Our Partners – the Gloucestershire Rural Community Council (GRCC)
GAPTC and GRCC both work to support the parish and town council sector.
GAPTC provides legal advice to support the work of councils and runs training courses for clerks and councillors to help them in their role.
GRCC complement the work of GAPTC as they support people across Gloucestershire to develop and shape their communities in a variety of ways:
- Affordable housing – local housing needs surveys and location of suitable sites
- Community buildings – professional support service to volunteers who manage community buildings
- Parish Plans – support and material guidance at every stage of development
- Community Emergency Plans – Support in developing plans tailored to the needs of the community
- Funding advice – Advice and support for community projects
- Neighbourhood Development Plans – Support and guidance through each step of the process
- Social Enterprise Networks – Networks which support organisations to bring services, such as community shops
