GAPTC is working with GRCC and CPRE to host a Neighbourhood Planning Workshop on 6th June 2018 from 10.30 - 15.30 at Gambier Parry Rooms, Highnam Community Centre. Bookings must be made in advance with GRCC.
The event will be suitable for parish and town councils, neighbourhood groups and forums at any stage of the Neighbourhood Planning process - from 'thinking about' to 'made plan'.
At the event, Jeff Bishop from Place Studio will present initial findings from the CPRE funded research on 'made plans' in the South West so that we can consider: Are 'made' Neighbourhood Plans making a difference? Are they being used and and influencing development management decisions and appeal outcomes? Are they influencing local plan work?
A chance to network over lunch with workshop facilitators and active groups from other parts of Gloucestershire.
During the day, delegates will have the opportunity to attend two of the following three workshops:
a. Landscape, heritage and Green Infrastructure Issues in your Neighbourhood Plan
Adding detail and value to the Local Plan
b. Your Plan is Made - What should you and your local authority do next?
Using your Neighbourhood Plan to influence the local Plan and timely revision of your Neighbourhood Plan
c. Two thorny issues - settlement boundaries and allocating sites
Approaches in different Neighbourhood Plan areas
Cost of the event is £20 per person, to be paid in advance - as a contribution towards the costs of the venue, refreshments and lunch.
Booking is essential. To book your place go to the GRCC website which also has details of other training events they offer.
