Apply now for the Local Policy course -

The University of Gloucestershire is now taking applications for an early January start on Local Policy - its advanced training course for people who work for town and parish councils.  The two modules of the course available to study between January and March 2009 are Finance and Resources and The Decision Makers.  Further information is contained in the guide and an application form can be requested from apope@glos.ac.uk .  You are welcome to contact the Course Leader, Elisabeth Skinner (contact details below), if you have questions to ask.  The University would be pleased to receive applications by November 30th.

GLOUCESTERSHIRE CHARTER 

The new version of the Gloucestershire Charter is here!!

The Community Engagement Team at Gloucestershire County Council are delighted to launch the third version of the Gloucestershire Charter! The Charter is an agreement between two tiers of local government – the County Council and the parish and town councils of Gloucestershire. It contains commitments covering a wide range of services; all aiming to improve the relationship between the tiers of local government, paying particular attention to improving consultation and communications about policies and decisions that may affect communities.
